Smart Cabin Climate Upgrade for M/V Victoria I — Without Replacing Existing Diffusers

As part of a pilot project on M/V Victoria I, BreezeMarine Group installed an electric in-line air reheater integrated into the existing ventilation ductwork, enabling individual cabin temperature control without replacing the original diffusers or HVAC system.

Electric in-line air reheater installed in ventilation ductwork on M/V Victoria I

Challenge

The vessel needed individual cabin temperature control, but a standard upgrade would have required replacing the existing diffusers and HVAC system — a costly, disruptive retrofit the customer wanted to avoid.

Engineering Solution

  1. Integrated an electric in-line air reheater directly into the existing ventilation ductwork
  2. Preserved the original diffusers and HVAC system without replacement
  3. Balanced airflow following installation to prevent unauthorized adjustment of air volume
