Stena Baltica - Oil Water Cooler
Stena Line needed a new oil/water cooler for Stena Baltica with only an old photograph for reference — no technical drawings existed. BreezeMarine Group and FARAD S.A. delivered a newly manufactured unit a day ahead of the customer’s deadline.
Challenge
The oil/water cooler on Stena Baltica had failed, but the original equipment manufacturer was out of business and no design drawings were available. The only reference on hand was an old photograph of the unit — a standard replacement order was not possible.
Engineering Solution
- Surveyed the vessel and reviewed the old photograph as the only available reference
- Reconstructed the design specification from the photograph and on-board measurements
- Verified critical dimensions and connection points before manufacture
- Manufactured the replacement with FARAD S.A.
- Delivered a day ahead of the customer’s deadline, within 15 working days
