Task: Control over fuel consumption for the Main Engine and 3 diesel generators
Problem: lack of an automated reporting and cost accounting system.
Solution:
Installation of a differential system on the main engine and 3 diesel generators. Output of information to the operator panel 10 inches in the CPU. Output of information to the general ship network in CSV format. The vessel operators are provided with direct access to the data.
Result: The system allowed the crew and the vessel operator to get a complete picture of the vessel’s fuel consumption. The modes of optimal operation were determined under various conditions. After the implementation of the system and the collection of statistics, fuel economy was up to 15%, compared to the previous period of operation.
